Proceedings banning bear-baiting in Idaho, Wyoming can continue
Boise, Idaho (AP) — A federal judge requests the Trump administration to dismiss a lawsuit filed by an environmental group seeking to ban the use of food to hunt Tsukinowa bears in national forests in Idaho and Wyoming. Was rejected. The group says it violates environmental law to allow the use of food, as hunters have killed federal-protected grizzly bears. The Trump administration argued that the proceedings should be dismissed last summer because it withdrew the documents that underpinned the proceedings in the mid-1990s. However, US Magistrate Judge Candydale, who rejected the administration’s request last week, said these documents were used to develop the 1995 hunting rules.
