Ontario reports a daily record of about 3,000 new coronavirus cases
Ontario reports 2,923 new cases. Coronavirus Another new record for cases within 24 hours on Wednesday. The total number of states is now 178,831.
The number of cases on Wednesday is higher than the number of cases of 2,553 new infections on Tuesday. This was the best in the state in the past day.
According to wednesday Local report, 998 cases were recorded in Toronto, 441 cases were recorded in the Peel area, 408 cases in the York area, 158 cases in the Durham area, 144 cases in Windsor-Essex county, and 115 cases in the Halton area.
All other public health departments in Ontario reported less than 100 new cases in state reports.
An additional 19 deaths were reported, increasing the state’s death to 4,474.
1,177 people are hospitalized in Ontario COVID-19 (new coronavirus infection) (# If there is no character limit, add parentheses when it first appears (313 increase from the previous day), 323 patients in the intensive care unit (19 increase), 204 patients in the ventilator-equipped ICU (3 decrease).
As of 10:30 am on Wednesday, 18,603 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to Ontario.
The government said 39,210 tests had been processed in the last 24 hours. Currently, a backlog of 54,955 tests is waiting for results. A total of 7,858,200 tests have been completed since the pandemic began.
Wednesday’s test positive rate (the percentage of tests that returned positive) was 8.4%, down from 9.7 on Tuesday and up from 4.8% a week ago.
Meanwhile, 153,799 Ontarions have recovered from COVID-19. It is a disease caused by the virus, which accounts for 86% of known cases. The number of resolutions increased by 2,237 from the previous day.

There are currently 20,558 active cases in Ontario, up from 19,891 the day before and from 19,424 last Wednesday.
The average for 7 days was 2,310, an increase from 2,236 the day before and an increase from 2,304 a week ago.
Below is a breakdown of all cases in Ontario by gender and age.
- 87,604 are men, an increase of 1,441.
- 90,099 are women — an increase of 1,456.
- 23,097 people are 19 years old or younger, an increase of 386 cases.
- 65,133 are 20-39, an increase of 1,039.
- 51,454 people are 40 to 59, an increase of 885 cases.
- 25,818 are 60-79, an increase of 458.
- 13,293 people are over 80 years old, an increase of 159 cases.
- The state states that age and gender are not reported in all cases.
The state notes that the number of cases publicly reported daily may not match the number of cases reported by the local public health department on a particular day. The local public health unit will report when the case is first notified. This can be updated and changed when the information becomes available. Data may be pulled at different times.
Long-term care facility in Ontario
According to the Ministry of Long-Term Care, 2,721 deaths have been reported between residents and patients in long-term care homes throughout Ontario, with an increase of 33 deaths. The discrepancy between LTCH fatalities and state daily fatalities is usually the result of data acquisition and updates.
Eight health care workers and staff in the care facility have died, but haven’t changed for months.
Currently, there are 192 cases in housing, a decrease of 2 cases from the previous day.
The ministry also showed that there are currently 1,188 activities for long-term care residents and 1,057 activities for staff, an increase of 43 and 25, respectively, on the final day.
