Island Health Declares Outbreak of COVID-19 at a Long-Term Care Facility in Victoria
An outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared in a long-term care facility in Victoria.
According to Island Health, Harthouse staff at Fairfield tested positive for the virus. Hearthouse is owned and operated by the Trillium Community.
Health officials say they are working to identify who may have been infected with COVID-19 and are screening residents and staff for the virus twice daily. Infected staff are quarantined in Houm and all residents are quarantined in their suite.
