South Dakota reports more than 400 new cases, 15 additional deaths
(KTIV)-South Dakota health authorities have reported an additional 417 cases of COVID-19 since Saturday, bringing the state to a total of 103,318 cases.
According to a report on Sunday, 241 new cases have been identified, with a possible 176 cases.
According to state data, an additional 402 inhabitants have recovered from the virus, bringing the state’s total recovery rate to 96,693. State health officials state that there are 5,040 active cases in the state.
The state health department reported an additional 15 virus-related deaths, with the state’s death toll reaching 1,585.
Currently, 237 residents in the state are hospitalized for the virus, up from 234 reported on Saturday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 5,904 COVID-19 hospitalizations in South Dakota.
According to Ministry of Health data, 22,477 Pfizer vaccines and 21,596 modelna vaccines are being given throughout the state.
Bon Homme County
There are three new cases in Bon Homme County, for a total of 1,496. Of these cases, 1,444 have recovered.
No additional virus-related deaths have been reported in Bon Homme County, with only 23 deaths.
The latest data from the State Department of Health show that 398 vaccines were given in Bon Homme County.
Clay County
Clay County reported three new cases, for a total of 1,681. State health officials say 1,597 of these cases have recovered.
There were no additional virus-related deaths in Clay County, with only 12 deaths in the county.
To date, Clay County has administered 678 COVID-19 vaccines.
Lincoln County
The total number of positive cases in Lincoln County increased from 7,052 to 7,078. Authorities say 6,649 of these cases have recovered.
No additional virus-related deaths have been reported in Lincoln County, with only 68 deaths from COVID-19.
According to the State Department of Health, Lincoln County has received 5,511 COVID-19 vaccines.
Union County
According to state health officials, Union County had 23 new cases, bringing the county to 1,721. So far, 1,554 people who tested positive have recovered.
No more virus-related deaths have been reported in Union County, with only 30 deaths.
To date, 202 vaccines have been administered in Union County.
Yankton County
Yankton County reported 15 new cases, for a total of 2,591. Authorities say that 2,410 of these cases have recovered.
Yankton County reported another death associated with COVID-19. Since the pandemic began, there have been 27 virus-related deaths in the county.
To date, 1,337 vaccines have been administered in Yankton County.
