Florida may have more cases of COVID-19 variants than we know
The new COVID-19 variant is more contagious than the original variant, but the vaccine still provides protection.
Tampa, Florida — Currently, two known COVID-19 variants are widespread in the United States, including Florida.
The· Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says Florida has nearly half of the known cases of mutated, perhaps more infectious variants of the coronavirus in the United States.
