Plastic surgeon dies in Covid after an infected patient coughs him

A plastic surgeon later died of a coronavirus-related complication after testing a patient who had a positive cough on him while getting a lip filler.

Dr. Peyman Simoni, 50, from Beverly Hills, died of a cerebral hemorrhage on January 8 after being placed in a medically-induced coma when his lungs failed.

The two fathers performed the procedure on the woman after she checked her temperature and filled out a coronavirus questionnaire.

However, the woman without the mask had not been tested for Covid, but a few days later she called Dr. Simoni and told her that she had tested positive for the virus.

A friend of Simoni said he felt “fully fine” for about a week before he began to experience symptoms. KCAL..

He was taken to the Cesars-Sinai Medical Center when he began to feel short of breath and soon deteriorated.

Simoni’s longtime family friend Katie Amiri Yunes told KCAL that her two fathers had died as a “shock” to their loved ones.

She said:’The shock is that he was very perfectly healthy.

“He’s a doctor. I called him when I had Covid. He was telling me what to do.

Last May, members of the Beverly Hills City Council voted to allow selective surgery in a pandemic.

The council argued that residents should be able to receive treatment for conditions such as heart valve flags and toothache, which opened the door to cosmetic surgery.
