Vaccination sites are listed as hospitals, mobile vaccination sites, mass vaccination sites, pharmacies, clinics, primary care and locations within strategic areas.
The second stage overlaps with the first stage and may start in March or April and continue until the end of July, depending on the dose of vaccine.
“Ontario is ready to receive vaccines whenever they become available and will move to a Phase 2 priority population as soon as sufficient vaccines are available from the federal government,” the government said.
The government also said it plans to vaccinate all Nursing Homes in Ontario at least once by February 15.
According to the document, Phase 3, which includes all eligible Ontario citizens wishing to be vaccinated with COVID-19, is not scheduled to begin specifically until the summer of August.
The federal government has approved the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines.
So far, Ontario has been vaccinated 144,784 times in both vaccines as of 8 pm on Tuesday, with 8,778 people fully vaccinated in two doses.
According to the state government, vaccinations are given to:
- Over 45,000 healthcare professionals in long-term care and retirement homes.
- Over 77,000 healthcare professionals.
- Over 13,000 long-term care and retirement home residents.
- An additional 20,000 caregivers, retirement home staff, residents, and basic caregivers are vaccinated with Moderna.
The state said it plans to vaccinate up to 1.5 million people by the end of Phase 1 and up to 8.5 million people by the end of Phase 2.
