Riverside County COVID-19 Vaccine Update
Riverside County, California — Health officials said this week that coronavirus cases and virus-related deaths continued to skyrocket in Riverside County as the county’s vaccination program gained momentum.
“We have vaccinated 28,708 people throughout the county,” Public Health Service Director Kim Salwatari told Riverside County’s supervisory board on Tuesday. “There may be more now because of the delay in reporting. On Wednesday, Riverside County authorities activated the Type III All-Disaster Incident Management Team to help coordinate the planning and implementation of large-scale vaccinations for more than 2 million county residents.
