The U.S. gives Covid 10 million vaccines, but below target

In the United States, more than 10 million people are first vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine. According to official data, the United States is below the vaccination target, but it is shown on Wednesday.
Of the 29,380,125 doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines sent to the state, 10,278,462 were given as the initial dose, according to the CDC tracker.
This is about 3.1% of the total population of about 330 million, but children do not yet have access to the vaccine.
The United States immunizes more people than any other Western country, but it is far behind the goals set by authorities who wanted to reach 20 million by the end of December.
Israel is the world leader in the proportion of the vaccinated population, followed by the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
As part of an effort to increase access to the COVID vaccine, the federal government announced this week that instead of booking booster shots, manufacturers will be able to release all available doses.
This represents a break from the previous plan where a second dose was withheld for those who received the first dose to ensure that there was no delay.
The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require booster immunization after 3 and 4 weeks, respectively.
Andrea Polonijo, a public health expert at the University of California, Riverside, said, “The state was initially accused of over-regulating how supplies were distributed, resulting in doses in the freezer. It was either left unused or discarded due to expiration. ” I told AFP.
“There is no standardized way to schedule vaccination appointments in the state, so many civilians are confused about when and where they can get vaccinated.”
The federal government also recommends that the state begin vaccination of anyone over the age of 65, regardless of their health status.
The city is also preparing a mass vaccination site. For example, California, which faces the worst outbreaks in the United States, has designated Disneyland as such a site.
Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York City has called on the federal government to increase supply and warned on Twitter. “Without immediate mass shipments, the # COVID19 vaccine could run out by the end of next week.”
Secretary of Health Alex Azar wants to shift distribution from hospitals to pharmacies and clinics.
He also said this week that future allocations of dose to the state would be related to dose rates and the state’s population aged 65 and over.
The United States is already the most devastating country in the world, with more than 382,000 deaths and more than 4,000 deaths on Tuesday, facing the worst surge in history.
Epidemiologists fear that it could get worse as newer, more contagious variants of the virus are established in the United States.
