A Wisconsin pharmacist accused of ruining the Covid-19 vaccine has suspended his license
Milwaukee — Wednesday’s state committee suspended a Wisconsin pharmacist’s license, which was accused of ruining more than 500 Covid-19 vaccines, because it was considered unsafe.
Stephen Brandenburg worked at Grafton’s Advocate Aurora Health, about 20 miles north of Milwaukee. He was arrested last month after investigating 57 rotten vials of Modana vaccine. He has not been charged with criminal charges. The status meeting in this case is scheduled for Tuesday.
The Wisconsin Pharmacy Review Board said in its order that Brandenburg could not practice pharmacies while the suspension was in place. Brandenburg said he agreed to act “to focus” on the possibility of prosecution against him.
Brandenburg lawyer Jason Baltz did not immediately answer the phone message that the Associated Press left on Wednesday night.
Jeff Barr, Chief Medical Group Officer at Aurora Healthcare, said he admitted that Brandenburg had deliberately removed the vial from the refrigeration at the Grafton Medical Center.
