Colorado reports a surge in MIS-C, pediatric COVID-19-related syndromes
In Colorado, cases of COVID-19-related inflammatory syndrome in children increased at the end of the year, and the State Department of Health advised parents to be vigilant when their children returned to school.

Parents should take their child to the emergency room if they have the following severe MIS-C symptoms:

- Chest pain
- confusion
- Can’t keep awake
- Blue lips or face
- Severe abdominal pain
Other symptoms can be caused by multiple illnesses, and parents should contact their doctor if their child begins to show them:

- diarrhea
- vomiting
- Neck pain
