Ontario reports more than 3,000 new coronavirus cases and 51 deaths
Ontario reported 3,056 new cases of novels Coronavirus On Saturday, the total number of cases in the state will be 234,364.
“Locally, there are 903 new cases in Toronto, 639 in Peel, 283 in the York region, 162 in Durham and 152 in Ottawa,” said Health Minister Christine Elliott.
An additional 51 deaths were also announced, bringing the state’s death to 5,340.
On the other hand, 200,406 COVID-19 cases were considered resolved, which is 85.5 percent of all confirmed cases.

A total of 73,875 additional tests have been completed. Ontario has currently completed 8,865,263 tests and 50,387 are under investigation.
The state showed that the positive rate on the final day was 4.9%, up from 4.6% in Friday’s report and down from 5.3% last Saturday.
According to state statistics, 1,632 people were hospitalized for the virus (down 15), 397 in the intensive care unit (up 10), and 281 on ventilator (up 1).
The following is a breakdown of cases in Ontario by age and gender.
- 114,442 men
- 118,587 women
- 30,686 people under 19 years old
- 85,652 people are 20-39 years old
- 67,476 people are 40-59 years old
- 33,749 are 60-79 years old
- 16,753 people are over 80 years old
The state states that age and gender are not reported in all cases.
The state also notes that the number of cases reported daily publicly may not match the number of cases reported by the local public health department on a particular day. The local public health unit will report when the case is first notified. This can be updated and changed when the information becomes available. Data may be pulled at different times.
According to the Ministry of Long-Term Care, 3,112 deaths have been reported between residents and patients in long-term care homes throughout Ontario, an increase of 27. Currently, there are 246 outbreaks in long-term care homes.
There are 1,632 caregivers and 1,302 staff members.
As of 8 pm on Friday, 189,090 COVID-19 vaccines were given, an increase of 14,460 from the previous day. To date, 19,333 people have received both required doses.
