An Australian study has identified a new mechanism by which prostate cancer cells can “switch” their personality and become resistant to treatment.

Currently, there is no effective cure for NEPC, and it is estimated that up to 15% of men can develop this aggressive subtype of prostate cancer after hormone therapy. These men are facing “very bad results”, which is a big problem.
