Nova Scotia did not report a new COVID-19 case for the second time this year on Monday.
“There are still state-wide restrictions and we plan to provide the latest information by the weekend,” Prime Minister Stephen McNeill said in a news release. “Keep protecting each other’s health by following all public health protocols.”
With four newly resolved cases, the number of active cases in the state has been reduced to 25.
“This is the second day since the New Year, when we haven’t reported a new case of COVID-19,” said Dr. Robert Strang, director of health at Nova Scotia. “I’m happy to see this, but it’s not a sign that the virus is no longer present in our state. We must continue all public health measures to work to reduce the spread of COVID-19. I can’t. “
