Coronavirus Vaccination Clinic Moves to Canton
The Coronavirus Vaccination Clinic at the Cherokee County Health Department in Canton, Georgia will move to the Canton First Baptist Church next week.
The department will start operating the clinic every Monday to Friday from 8 am to 3:30 pm at the church at 1 Mission Point in Canton.
The new location will replace the Coronavirus Vaccination Clinic, which is currently located at the Woodstock Health Center in the Health Department. Vaccines will be delivered in new locations at no cost. Insurance will be charged, but only if it is available. There is no cost to the client. Those who do not have insurance will not be charged for vaccination.
Those who received the first dose from the health department and were scheduled to receive a second dose at their original location should go to the church location. The health department is contacting them to inform them of the new location, but be aware that for those who may not receive the message, go to church for a second dose.
In the new clinic, as more vaccines become available, the county can vaccinate several people at the same time.
The health department is using the current inventory of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for existing reservations. The county expects to receive more vaccine, but when and how much it will occur depends on the supply of the entire United States, so it is not exactly known at this time.
