Do I need to get the COVID-19 vaccine even if I am pregnant?

Madison, Wisconsin — A new study found that pregnant women with severe coronavirus symptoms are at higher risk of dying than non-pregnant women with the same symptoms. They also found that severe illness leads to more serious complications for pregnant women.
Dr. Matt Anderson of UW Health says he is currently in close conversation with the patient, but he recommends that he still expects his mother to be vaccinated with COVID-19.
