January 29: 514 new cases overnight in BC, 71 in IHA

Dr. Bonnie Henry, BC Health Officer, and Adrian Dix, Health Minister, have issued the following joint statement regarding the latest information on the reaction of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in British Columbia.

“Today, we are reporting 514 new cases, including 6 epilinked cases, for a total of 66,779 cases in British Columbia.

“There are 4,557 COVID-19 activity cases in the state. Currently, 292 people are hospitalized for COVID-19, 74 of whom are in the intensive care unit. The rest are self-employed at home. It is isolated and recovered.

“Currently, as a result of specific exposure to known cases, 7,242 people are under active public health surveillance and an additional 59,551 who test positive have recovered.

“Since the last report, 134 new COVID-19 cases have occurred in the Vancouver Coastal Health Area, 223 in the Fraser Health Area, 29 in the Island Health Area, 71 in the Interior Health Area, and 57 in the North. Cases have occurred. There are no new cases of people living outside Canada in a healthy area.

“To date, 129,241 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in British Columbia, of which 4,262 are second doses. Vaccination data are available on the following COVID-19 dashboard. www.bccdc.ca

“The first dose of COVID-19 vaccine is currently being offered to caregivers and staff who want it. This protection against the most vulnerable people is an important milestone for all of us, but we are vigilant. I have to continue.

“There were five new COVID-19-related deaths, killing a total of 1,189 people in British Columbia. Condolences to all who lost their loved ones in the COVID-19 pandemic.

“There was an outbreak of one new medical facility at Holy Family Hospital, ending outbreaks at Little Mountain Place, Mayfair Senior Living Care, and Morgan Place Care.

“January proved to be a difficult month for all of us. New cases of COVID-19 are still high, affecting vaccine supply and we are all in this. I’m feeling pandemic fatigue.

“But we need to remember that this month also brought more light. Every day, many of the most vulnerable people to severe illness are protected. This has significantly reduced the incidence of long-term care.

“Today, the federal government has announced new international travel restrictions to further limit the potential for COVID-19 to spread to our community. This is a welcome addition and one more for all of us. There are two protective layers.

“Travel across communities is not strongly recommended at this time unless absolutely necessary for work or medical care. This is for everyone in British Columbia, and to our state. Applies to anyone considering a visit to. It’s not time to travel.

“We need to postpone our travel plans until we are sure that we will not bring the virus or bring it back to our families and communities.

“Our layers of protection are a combination of state public health restrictions, our personal actions and precautions, and supporting each other to do the right thing without exception. This combined effort is It pushes down our curve.

“By participating, working together and following the measures we are taking, we can keep restaurants open, ski areas open, children attend school and the healthcare system keep working. ..

“This time around, each of us chooses to do what we can. This allows us to stay safe and delay the spread of COVID-19. Away, small and small. Locals. That’s the way we need to stay now. “

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price.
