Worker at Neath Port Talbot Hospital dies on coronavirus positive test
A compliment was paid to a 56-year-old healthcare worker who died after a positive coronavirus test.
Helen Mills worked in the Minor Injury Unit (MIU) at Neath Port Talbot Hospital.
The two mothers from Port Talbot have been working as medical support workers in hospitals since 2008.
A statement from the Swansea Bay University Health Commission said: “Helen’s colleague described her as a very caring, kind and highly respected member of the MIU family.
“She has always provided excellent care to the thousands of patients she has met during her career.
“Her dry sense of humor brought a lot of happiness and laughter to the team.
“Her loss brought us great sorrow, but Helen’s memories will never be forgotten. We have made a great contribution to her, and she has brought to both fellow staff and patients. I am always grateful for the light of happiness.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband Chris, daughters Cary and Kate, and her grandchildren during this difficult time.”
