Can dogs sniff coronavirus in asymptomatic carriers?

Logan said the project is still in a very early stage. However, LSHTM aims to deploy animal detectives so they can discover COVID-19 throughout Britain by the summer.
The dog may go to a hospital or nursing home to inspect staff and patients. LSHTM also hopes that coronaviruses will bring fur mating detection to airports and train stations when regular trips resume.
Meanwhile, another research team is working on another tool to speed up the detection or diagnosis of COVID-19. Ongoing research is aimed at creating a blood test kit that can identify people exposed or infected with coronaviruses.
“We haven’t tested enough people yet,” Daniel Westreich, a professor of epidemiology at the University of North Carolina, told the Atlantic. “I don’t know what I see if I randomly screen the entire population. I don’t know how many asymptomatic viral sheders are.”
