Chief medical officer reveals factors in those at highest risk of coronavirus
Men are almost twice as likely to die COVID-19 Like women, old age and pre-existing health conditions also put people at greater risk.
Professor Chris Whitty, who spoke at the British Chief Medical Officer Coronavirus Briefing on Thursday, identified three factors that make the virus the most dangerous.

According to ONS, coronavirus mortality rates increase significantly with age. The risk begins to rise in men from 55 to 59 years, in women from 65 to 69, and increases with age.
