1,114 new COVID-19 cases and 30 additional deaths reported in Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Public Health Service reported an additional 1,114 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the 541,098 cases across the state since the outbreak of the pandemic. State health officials also added 30 confirmed COVID-19-related deaths to the state’s total. Now 15,564. As of Tuesday, a total of 1,729,550 COVID-19 vaccines were shipped to the state, of which 1,476,276 (85.4%) were administered. So far, 414,941 people in Massachusetts have received both doses. An estimated 33,951 cases are active throughout Massachusetts, according to the report. This is the first time this number has fallen below 35,000 since November 19, 2020.
