COVID Update: Studies say people wearing glasses are less likely to get the coronavirus
A New research In India, people wearing glasses were found to be one-third more likely to get the virus.
Researchers suggest that it is because they are unlikely to be seen by them-this could be a serious transmission route.
In a previous study conducted in China, only 5% of people hospitalized with COVID wore glasses, while about 30% of the population wore glasses.
The survey was conducted last summer in the northern district of Campur de Hat. It involved 304 patients aged 10 to 80 years.
All of them reportedly experienced coronavirus symptoms, and about 60 were considered long-time glass wearers.
The authors of the study said that COVID-19 infection from the eyes was “very rare”, but that droplets from the virus could easily move from the eyes to the nose and mouth.
