He said the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was given to qualified workers in the Lablandski area and the Henderson mine the day before.

“We’re still very careful, but we’ll feel better,” said Joan Marlomitz, who was vaccinated at Dumont on Friday.

A woman with a small white dog in her arms thanked her for traveling with confidence, saying, “I’ll be flying two weeks from today.”

CBS4 asked, “Where are you going?”

She replied, “Oh, Texas, thank God for being vaccinated.”

The state has no obligation to mask after the governor lifts it this week.
