Pittsburgh (KDKA) — A new warning from the FDA regarding temperature scanners used to screen for coronavirus.
These devices are used for COVID-19 screening in schools, workplaces, and places where large numbers of people gather.

However, the FDA has warned that these scanners, which have been urgently approved by the FDA and put on the market, are not always accurate.
Until now, scanners have been considered the best way to quickly screen for viruses in the crowd. But now, the FDA says it knows that scanners don’t always work. Even if it works, it doesn’t mean that you have COVID-19.
