Ontario is “ready to deploy Phase 2” of the COVID-19 vaccine program
The Government of Ontario is preparing to move to Phase 2 of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution program next month, focusing on age- and risk-based population vaccination. This approach is designed to save lives, protect people at risk of serious illness, and prevent the spread of the virus.

During Phase 2, Ontario states that the groups receiving the vaccine will include:

- Certain workers who cannot work from home.

“Thanks to the efforts of our healthcare partners and frontline heroes, the deployment of Ontario vaccines has brought about positive changes and helped save the lives of our most vulnerable people,” Elliott said. According to Ontario, Phase 1 of the vaccination rollout is well underway, with 820,000 vaccinations and more than 269,000 Ontario citizens fully vaccinated.
