The London area recorded an additional 30 COVID-19 cases with zero new deaths

The Middlesex London Health Unit reported 30 new cases of COVID-19 in the region on Sunday.
The total number of cases in the London area is currently 6,593, with 6,229 recovery and 179 active cases. Twenty-three recovery cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
The health unit said there were four confirmed variants in the area, and 46 variants were screened for positive cases.
No new deaths have been reported in the area for 13 consecutive days. So far, 185 people have died as a result of the virus in London-Middlesex.
The number of outbreaks at the facility is the same from Saturday to Sunday and is located on the 4th floor of Chartwell Royal Cliff Retirement Residence, Dearness Home, Glendale Crossing, Richmond Woods and the University Hospital.
Five schools in the region are currently reporting active COVID-19 cases. The only active outbreak within schools in the area has been reported at Wilberforce Public Schools.
Thirty-one new infections were reported on Friday, the highest number of cases recorded in a day in the region since February 13. An additional 26 cases were recorded on Saturday.
Across Ontario, 1,791 additional cases were reported on Sunday, 18 new deaths and 1,353 recovery. Overall, Ontario has had a total of 328,874 cases since the outbreak of the pandemic.
