Nearly 1 million in the state’s complete vaccine series
MADISON (WXOW)-In the Sunday update, Wisconsin Health Department The other day, another 25,000 Wisconsin residents said they had received their first injection of the COVID-19 vaccine.
This figure shows that 1,699,837 people in the state have been vaccinated at least once. According to DHS, this represents 29.2 percent of state residents. 995,419 people, or 17.1% of the state’s population, have completed the vaccine series.
To date, 85,003 people have been vaccinated at least once in western Wisconsin. That’s 31 percent of the total population of western Wisconsin. 53,208, or 19.4 percent, completed the vaccine series.
DHS numbers are 39,598 people or 33.6 percent of La Crosse County residents have been vaccinated at least once. According to the state, 24,454 or 20.7 percent of La Crosse County completed the vaccine series.
In other counties, these are the percentages of the population who received the first dose of COVID vaccine: Monroe: 25.1%, Vernon: 29.8%, Trenpyrow: 32.8%, Jackson: 28.3%.

There were no new deaths from the virus, according to figures from the Wisconsin Department of Health on Sunday.
The total number of virus deaths in the state is 6,598.

Of all the positive cases reported since the outbreak of the pandemic, 562,308, or 97.7 percent, are considered to have recovered.

The Wisconsin Department of Health said four people were hospitalized in the western part of the state, which consists of the counties of Buffalo, Trempealeau, Jackson, Lacrosse, Monroe, Vernon and Crawford. No patients are currently receiving intensive care.
