Florida reports 7,411 new COVID-19 cases, 54 virus-related deaths on Saturday – WFTV
Orlando, Florida — The Florida Department of Health reported 7,411 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday.
This is more than 5,464 reported on Friday and 6,684 added on Thursday.
Of the new cases reported, 1,778 were in Central Florida.

Records show that a total of 2,203,913 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Florida since the outbreak of the pandemic.
State health officials also reported 54 virus-related deaths on Saturday, including one who was not a resident of Florida.
Of the new deaths reported, 10 were in Central Florida. Flagler, Brevard, and Volusia counties all reported three deaths.
Records show that a total of 35,497 people have died of coronavirus complications in Florida since the outbreak of the pandemic.

COVID-19 vaccine efforts are also ongoing throughout the state.
Health officials lifted the 11-day suspension of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccination on Friday, as recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Advisory Board.
The Florida Emergency Management Agency has announced that it will eventually resume Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccination on the University of Valencia’s FEMA site, but no exact date has been set.

Records show that 8,443,796 people in Florida have been vaccinated with COVID-19.
The state has received a total of 13,594,643 vaccinations, including the first and second doses.
