A 43-year-old Linn County woman was Oregon’s 2,497th COVID-19-related death, which was announced by the Oregon Department of Health on Saturday. In total, three more Oregon people have died from the disease, bringing the state’s cumulative death toll to 2,498.

The other two deaths were a 70-year-old Jackson County man and an 81-year-old Malheur County woman. They had an underlying medical condition, and officials say they are still working to see if women in Linn County did.
The total cumulative case load in Oregon is now 185,597. According to OHA’s Saturday report, Linn County added 38 new confirmed or putative cases of COVID-19. Currently, the county has a cumulative death toll of 4,557, with 66 confirmed dead.

Adjacent Benton County added 10 new positive cases of COVID-19 with no new deaths. The cumulative number of cases in Benton County is 2,917 and the death toll is 19.
