LA County is vaccinated against about 1.5 million adults away from herd immunity
According to Barbara Ferrer, director of public health in LA, LA County has been vaccinated against about 2 million adults by the time it reaches community or “herd immunity.”
While updating the county on Monday, Feller identified the key to reaching group immunity and required an additional 1.5 million eligible adults to be vaccinated to reach the 80% threshold. I said it would be.
Feller also said Los Angeles County would have to continue vaccinations on average 400,000 times a week to reach herd immunity between mid-July and late July.

Herd immunity means that the county has adequate indirect protection from the COVID-19 epidemic and that a sufficient number of people are immune to the infection.
Currently, there are 755 vaccination sites throughout LA County, from pharmacies and clinics to pop-up sites led by LA City and counties.
As of this week, all vaccination sites operated by the City of Los Angeles are walking up without reservation. Dodger Stadium USC locations and all LA County execution sites such as Pomona Fairplex and Inglewood Forums.
