Mayonnaise and Boys and Girls Club Offering COVID-19 Vaccine May 13th, 20th | Local News
Cashton’s Carmen Mlsna will receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Terry Erickson Boys & Girls Club on Thursday. With a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health, the Mayo Clinic Health System co-sponsored the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic on four consecutive Thursdays in collaboration with the Greater Lacrosse Boys & Girls Club.

Pfizer or Johnson and Johnson vaccine doses will be available on May 13th and 20th from 2pm to 6pm at the Terry Ericsson Boys & Girls Club, 1331 Clinton Street.
Johnson & Johnson is approved for people over the age of 18. Pfizer is available to people 16 years and older and will be available to 12 to 15 people starting Thursday, May 13th, following the CDC recommendations on Wednesday afternoon. If the child is under the age of 18, the parent or guardian must be present to consent to the vaccination.
To book the Boys and Girls Club Clinic, please call 608-782-3926. However, you can bring it in.
Mayonnaise and Gandersen Health Systems also make vaccination appointments at hospitals and clinics. You can bring it in some places. The Pfizer vaccine will be available from Thursday between the ages of 12 and 15 in Gundersen and Mayo while waiting for final approval.
New clinical studies show that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is approximately 66% effective against moderate to severe COVID-19. This includes variants as well. This is the same number that the company announced earlier this year. Currently, Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine has been suspended in the United States due to concerns that it may be associated with rare cases of blood clots.
