COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Co-sponsored by ArcelorMittal Dofasco Opens in East Hamilton-Hamilton
new COVID-19 (New Coronavirus Infection) The Vaccination Clinic, sponsored by ArcelorMittal Dofasco and Hamilton Public Health, is open at the eastern end of the city.
From June 21st, a community clinic will open at Center on Burton. At this clinic, both ArcelorMittal Dofasco employees and Hamilton residents are eligible for the first and second injections.
Regarding distribution, a public health spokeswoman said there was a “subset” of plans to be assigned to Dofasco employees, with 85% of the plans available to the public.
Hamilton reported one death and 30 new COVID-19 cases as the city entered the first phase of Ontario’s reopening program.
For the first few weeks, approximately 600 doses will be given daily from Monday to Friday, and 1,000 doses will be given daily until the clinic is fully operational.
Like most Hamilton vaccine clinics, walk-ins are not allowed and reservations must be booked in advance.
Registration is not yet available, but public health will be added in the coming days, Local portal, State Hotline (1-888-999-6488), or City COVID-19 Hotline (905-974-9848, Option 7) for those who do not have an Ontario Green Health Card.
To date, 68.3% of all Hamilton adults have been vaccinated with at least one COVID-19 vaccine, and 11-12% have been fully vaccinated with two vaccinations.
As of Tuesday, approximately 38% of adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 have received at least one dose, and the city wants to increase that number with the Book One, Bring One option. Youth pop-up clinic..
