SAN ANTONIO The UTSA Men's Basketball Team won the No. 10 seed at the US Air Force Reserve Conference Championships and will face the No. 7 UAB seed on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. in the first round at The Star in Frisco.

The match will be broadcast live on ESPN + after 6 p.m. confrontation between the seeded Old Dominion No. 8 and the FAU No. 9. The game will also be live on the Roadrunners Sports Network, with the voice of UTSA, Andy Everett (play-by-play) and Jim Goodman (analyst) calling the action. It will mark the third meeting between UTSA and UAB in 2019-20, the teams separating in San Antonio. The game was tied at only 23 at half time before UTSA beat the Blazers 43-36 in the last stanza. Jackson had 28 points to lead all the scorers, with Keaton Wallace with 18 points and nine rebounds.

The Blazers lead the all-time series with UTSA 6-4, including posting a victory at the C-USA Championships last season, eliminating the Roadrunners, ranked fourth, 85-76.

UTSA is looking for its fifth all-time conference title and its first since joining C-USA in 2013-14. UTSA has won three Southland Conference Championships (1998-99, 2003-04, 2010-11) and the 1987-88 Trans-American Sport Conference Championship.

The Roadrunners are 2-6 all-time in the C-USA tournament, posting a final victory at the 2017-18 championships.

UTSA has an all-time record of 26-26 in league tournaments, posting a record of 2-1 in the 2012-13 Athletic Sports Conference tournament and a mark of 17-15 in the Southland conference. UTSA was 5-4 at the Trans America Athletic Conference. UTSA Coach Steve Henson has a 2-3 career record in the league tournament.

The Roadrunners enter the league tournament after losing a pair of consecutive games, including an 82-77 loss to Marshall on Saturday afternoon in San Antonio. UTSA finished the regular season with a 7-11 record in the league, 5-4 against C-USA at home and 2-7 on the road.

UTSA averages 77.2 points per game, with 39.2 rebounds, 12.9 turnovers, 12.5 assists, 6.0 interceptions and 2.7 blocks per game. UTSA shoots 41.8% as a team in 2019-2020 and 34.9% from a distance, with opponents required to clip 43.8% and 33.8% over a 3 point range.

UTSA was led in 2019-20 by the country's top scorer, the junior guard Jhivvan Jackson, which sports 27.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. He is right next to Markus Howard of Marquette for the country's lead in points per game (27.8). His 5.8 rebounds per game rank second in the country among players six feet and under, far from Malik Johnson of Canisius College only (5.9 rebounds per game).

Jackson has 12 games in 2019-20 with at least 30 points scored, including a pair of more than 40 points. He has scored 20 or more in 27 of 31 UTSA games and has five double-doubles.

Jackson is joined in the backcourt by Keaton Wallace, who ranks third in C-USA with 18.5 points per game. Wallace, who averaged 20.2 points per game in sophomore, combined with Jackson to form the country's No. 2 scoring duo, averaging 45.7 points per game.

Senior striker Byron Frohnen ranks seventh at C-USA with 6.8 rebounds per game. Las Vegas-born Frohnen has made 131 starts in his career and holds program records in rebounds, games played and games started. Frohnen averages 3.6 points per game.

Junior striker Luka Barisic adds 6.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, while the freshman center Jacob Germany had 5.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
