Disney World and Universal Orlando closed
Disney World, Disneyland Paris and Disney Cruise lines from Orlando will temporarily close following growing concerns about the global coronavirus pandemic. The Universal Orlando Resort also announced the closure of its theme park on Thursday.
The Walt Disney Company announced the closure on Thursday with a statement, hours after the Disneyland closure was announced.
"With all due care and in the best interest of our customers and employees, we are closing our theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and at Disneyland Paris Resort," said the company press release.
The closings begin at the close of business on March 15 and continue until the end of the month.

Distribution staff at each location will be paid during closure. Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris hotels and shopping complexes will remain open until further notice.
Walt disney world issued updated policies for theme park ticket holders. Holders of annual park passes will benefit from an extension based on the number of days the park is closed.
Those with dated park tickets or unexpired multi-day park tickets with a start day of March 31, 2020 or before will get an extension until December 15, 2020, and if guests are unable to Use their tickets before the December date, then they can buy a separate ticket.
The statement said Disney Cruise Line will suspend all new departures from March 14 until the end of the month.
Universal Orlando Resort announced it will close on Thursday, which will close on March 15 and may last until March 31.
