Sky Sports will remain the home of International Cricket Council (ICC) cricket until 2031 after Sky expands its partnership, and will continue to showcase some of the biggest events in international cricket for years to come.

A new long-term agreement, starting in 2024, means that Sky and NOW will retain the ICC broadcast and digital rights to show all men’s and women’s events at the pinnacle of sport, including the ICC Cricket World Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup. End of 2031.

During the partnership, major international men’s and women’s competitions will be held annually, as well as the biennial World Test Championship finals.

Following Sky’s new agreement with the ECB announced last year, licensed for the first time directly between the broadcaster and the ICC until the end of 2028, the new agreement reaffirms Sky’s long-term home for cricket in England and Ireland. 28 international competitions spanning men’s, women’s and U19 cricket from 2024 to 2031.

This also includes at least three confirmed events on British soil: the 2025 ICC World Test Championships Final, the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and the 2030 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The new deal comes as ICC events have enjoyed record viewings in the UK in recent years. The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 recorded the highest average viewership for a cricket tournament in the UK to date, and the highest rating for British television with 8.8 million cricket viewers, with Sky sharing finals berth with Channel 4.

Meanwhile, England’s defeat of Pakistan in the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia last year was the highest-viewed T20 match ever held in the UK since similar partnerships with terrestrial broadcasters.

The new deal also further strengthens Sky’s live cricket rights schedule with competitions including the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, ICC Men’s World Cup, ICC Women’s World Cup, ICC World Test Championship, ICC Men’s U19 ODI World Cup and ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup. It will remain with Sky Sports until at least 2031.
