Sunak Prepares to Get Britain Out of the European Convention on Human Rights

It has been reported that RISHI Sunak is prepared to consider removing the UK from the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) amid an expected surge in immigration.

The Prime Minister and Home Secretary Suela Braberman are finalizing the toughest immigration legislation in Britain’s history, bringing Britain to the “borderline” of international law, the Sunday Times reported.

According to official estimates, immigration is expected to rise by 50% last year, reaching 65,000 people.

The dignitaries said they would be happy to see Sunak withdraw from the ECHR if the European Court of Human Rights ruled the bill illegal.

A source familiar with Sunak’s thoughts told the newspaper: “Prime Minister Sunak has made it clear that he wants to introduce legislation that meets our international obligations.

“This bill will proceed as far as possible within international law. We are pushing the boundaries of what is legally possible by remaining within the ECHR, and we are confident that when it is tested in court we will prevail.

However, if this bill has been included in the statute book and found legal in domestic courts, but is still pending in Strasbourg, then we know that the problem is not our bill or our courts.
