Alcohol company Pernod Ricard USA to manufacture and donate hand sanitizer
Pernod Ricard USA plans to produce a hand sanitizer at all of its manufacturing sites and donate bottles to help fight the coronavirus epidemic, the liquor company said on Wednesday.
Pernod Ricard USA, which manufactures Absolut Vodka, Avin Tequila, Kahla and other brands, has locations in Arkansas, West Virginia, Kentucky and Texas. The company said it would work with the government on plans to distribute the hand sanitizer.
Several US retailers have struggled to keep a hand sanitizer on their shelves since the virus began to spread.
The company is the largest subsidiary of Pernod Ricard SA, based in Paris, which is the second largest producer of spirits and wine in the world.
