The U.S. Open, the third of golf's four major tournaments, begins Thursday at 6:30 a.m. EDT at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Scheffler is favored to win with moneyline odds of +280, according to DraftKings and FanDuel, meaning a $10 winning bet on Scheffler would result in a payout of $38, implying about a 26% chance of winning.

Xander Schauffele, Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa are the next likely winners, with odds of +1100, +1200 and +1400, respectively, while reigning US Open champion Wyndham Clark has odds of +6,000 for consecutive titles.

Jon Rahm, the eighth-ranked golfer in the world, withdrew from the tournament earlier this week due to a foot infection.
