US Open 2024 TV schedule, coverage, live stream, where to watch online, channel, golf tee times

The third major championship of the 2024 golf season has arrived with two Americans having already won the first two of the year. The USGA has loaded its main event with nearly all of the world's top golfers as 2024 U.S. Open contenders take on No. 2 Pinehurst for the first time in a decade.

Scottie Scheffler entered another major tournament as the favorite, this time after a newsworthy effort at the PGA Championship marred by an arrest for which all charges were dropped. Scheffler, who has already won the Masters and Players Championship this season, could very well have won the PGA without these unfortunate events. Instead, he's looking to qualify after struggling through the first 36 holes of the U.S. Open.

Rory McIlroy entered Friday's second round as one of two leaders after shooting a Pinehurst-low 65 at the U.S. Open. He is looking to return to major glory after a decade since his last such victory, but it was a tough second 18 holes around Pinehurst, and McIlroy fell two shots from where he started the day. Patrick Cantlay sat alongside Rory looking for his first major career; However, unlike McIlroy who already has four under his belt, Cantlay is chasing his first having never finished better than T14 at a US Open.

Elsewhere, Tiger Woods entered the US Open on a sponsor's exemption, not being healthy enough to play the tournament since 2020. He has not finished in the top 25 in a tournament major since the 2019 US Open, having failed to play the entire weekend at four of the last five major tournaments he has participated in. Tiger held on after an eventful first round, but he will have to work hard to qualify on Friday afternoon.
