British Athletics Championships: British Olympic Trials start times and schedule

The best athletes from Great Britain and Northern Ireland will compete for a place at the Paris 2024 British Athletics Championships.

The event serves as the official British Olympic Trials in all disciplines except the 10,000m, with the top two athletes booking Olympic spots if they meet the qualification criteria set by UK Athletics.

However, unlike the trials in the United States, the governing body has the ability to make discretionary choices for the Olympics, potentially including Janelle Hughes even if the sprinter is unable to compete at the national championships due to injury.

With Kiri Hodgkinson and Josh Kerr also already confirmed as starters, neither will be competing in their preferred event, but Team GB are strong across multiple events, making for an interesting battle for Olympic berths.

When are the British Athletics Championships?

The 2024 British Athletics Championships will be held at Manchester Regional Stadium on Saturday 29 June and Sunday 30 June.

Viewers in the UK can watch the UK trial live on the BBC, with coverage on the red button from 11.20am BST on both Saturday and Sunday. Live coverage is available on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website.
