Reform UK drops three candidates over aggressive rhetoric

Reform UK drops three candidates over aggressive rhetoric

Since the campaign began, Reform has faced ongoing questions about its candidate selection following a number of offensive posts on social media.

All the major parties have had to exclude potential parliamentary candidates for inappropriate comments, but this has been the case for more Reform candidates than for other parties.

The party criticized the company it hired to conduct background checks on potential candidates, claiming it failed to conduct the checks before the election.

Parry also faced angry questions from the Question Time audience about a recording of a Channel 4 broadcast in which Reform UK campaigner Andrew Parker was seen using a racist term towards Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

On Friday Mr Sunak said it made him “angry” that his daughters had to meet a reform campaigner who used racist language about them.

Farage described the remarks as a “continuation of a barrage of insults”, but suggested the man may have been paid and claimed it was a “political contrivance of incredible proportions”.

Reform UK said it had reported Channel 4 to the Electoral Commission, the election watchdog, over allegations of election interference.

The party also said it would call for an investigation by media regulator Ofcom.

On Friday, Channel 4 News said it adhered to “rigorous and fairly impartial journalism” and added that it had met Parker for the first time at the UK Reform Party headquarters and had not paid him any money.

“If my personal views have had a negative impact on Nigel Farage and the Reform Party, that was not my intention and I would like to offer them a profuse apology,” Mr Parker said in a statement.

Essex Police said they were “urgently assessing” comments made on the program “to establish whether any criminal allegations are warranted”.

Hertfordshire Police later said in a statement: “On Friday a man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence. Following further review and liaison with Essex Police, he was released without further action.”

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
