Tubi, the most-watched free streaming service in the US, is now available in the UK, with a content library of over 20,000 movies and TV episodes.

The ad-supported platform, owned by Rupert Murdoch's Fox Corporation, competes with Disney+, Prime Video and Netflix, which recently angered audiences by introducing ads.

Movies available on Tubi for UK viewers include Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol 1, Antoine Fuqua's Olympus Has Fallen and Wes Anderson's cult classic Moonrise Kingdom, while TV shows coming soon include Jack Whitehall's comedy series Fresh Meat and Great British Menu.

Tubi has nearly 80 million monthly active users in the U.S. In the U.K., viewers can access content through the Tubi website or smartphone app after registering as a user.

This month, movies like Billy Elliot, Charlie's Angels, and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle are also joining the platform, while superhero drama series Marvel's Runaways is coming to the streaming service's TV side.

Tubis' UK launch comes after Netflix angered subscribers by scrapping its $7.99 basic plan and automatically switching users to its standard $4.99-a-month plan with ads.

To avoid seeing ads, viewers will now need to upgrade to the Standard plan for $10.99 per month, which will cost $36 more per year, or the Premium plan for $17.99 per month, which will cost $120 more per year.

One subscriber complained: Netflix can suck with ads. Everyone should cancel their subscription until they get rid of ads. Don't pay double the price to upgrade to an ad-free service. It's pure greed.
