UK floods: Cars and railways under water as more rain forecast.

In Oxfordshire, flooding swamped roads and blocked the railway between Bicester North and Banbury.

Residents also evacuated after the Okgang River burst its banks.

This isn't the first river to do that this week. Houses have been flooded near the River Great Ouse in Bedfordshire due to rising river levels.

Several homes were also flooded in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, after the River Purwell overflowed its banks.

One resident said she felt “so helpless and vulnerable” after seeing water enter her home, while some neighbors said they were now unable to get insurance on their homes.

The heaviest rain fell in northern England. In Flyingdales, North Yorkshire, a month's worth of rain fell in two days (81 mm, 3.2 inches).

Rain over the past few days has made September an unusually wet month in southern England.

There was four times more rain than usual in Woburn, Bedfordshire. This makes September this year the wettest month ever recorded in the town.

Dozens of volunteers have helped clean AFC Telford's stadium after flooding left the stadium submerged.

A care home in Shropshire was also flooded and residents had to temporarily relocate to other homes.
