Scotland is set to be battered by winds of up to 80mph as the first storm of the season arrives.

Storm Ashley has been named by Met Eireann and the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for winds from 3am on Sunday until noon on Monday.

The Met Office warning applies across Scotland, with winds of up to 80mph expected in the west and north-west of England, Carlisle and Bangor in Wales and Northern Ireland.
