Voice UK fans were left frustrated after the season finale ended with an unexpected result.

The latest season of the singing competition concluded on Saturday night (October 26), with the final four acts taking to the stage for the final time.

Ava, Billy & Louis, Deb-Ora and Storra all performed to inspiring responses from coaches Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am, Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones and LeeAnn Rimes.

Fans were equally left bewildered by the great performance, but were left confused when host Emma Willis declared that a studio vote would determine the winner.

In some previous seasons of television competitions, the public had a say in determining the winner. This year, viewers at home were disappointed to learn they couldn't contribute as the series was pre-recorded, with filming set to begin in February 2024 and end in June.

Someone wrote on X/Twitter that not being live is very annoying. We leave the voting up to the studio audience.

One person wrote: I think the public, not the audience, should vote for The Voice UK.

This is crazy. Someone else wrote it. Not having a public vote really diminished the show.

It's not a live studio audience, nor does it seem like the biggest one, someone else said. I'm disappointed because it's the finals. Moreover, there is no public vote.
