In another example of Norwegian-UK collaboration, today's announcement coincides with Green Volt, a pioneering floating offshore wind farm, announcing that it has been awarded a front-end engineering and design contract to progress the project.

The project, based on the northeast coast of Scotland, is Europe's first major commercial floating wind development and is a joint venture between Norway's Vrgrnn and British company Flotation Energy.
