National Lottery winners received a stunning $177 million just before Christmas, according to lottery operator Allwyn.

A single ticket holder from the UK, who chose to remain anonymous, won the EuroMillions jackpot in November this year, the company said.

According to the latest Sunday Times Rich List, the jackpot winner will become richer than singer Harry Styles and heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua. Together, they are worth $175 million.

Their win comes just behind another anonymous British ticket holder who achieved a record €195 million in July 2022.

The winner received the third-largest prize in National Lottery history, worth $177 million (PA Archives).

In May of the same year, Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester became the second highest winners, winning $184 million on a Lucky Dip ticket.
