Agent details to be added to CAS by summer 2025

In an update to the sector, Universities UK International confirmed that UK Visas and Immigration is seeking significant updates to CAS to respond to agent connectivity compliance issues.

“Following the Migration Advisory Committee’s recommendations to improve transparency, UKVI will be working to develop the technical capacity to add agent details to CAS,” read the update.

“UKVI has been working with the UKCISA Immigration Compliance Network on technical aspects. UKVI expects to have the system functional by the summer of 2025 and over approximately 6-12 months thereafter to have meaningful data available to share with the sector to increase visibility of agent connectivity compliance.”

“This move follows the MAC’s review of the graduate pathway, which found no evidence of serious abuse but raised concerns about recruitment agents providing misleading information.” As a result, the review recommended updates to technology to enable UKVI to collect comprehensive data on agents and their activities.
