TAMPA, Fla. – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted multiple precision strikes against Iranian-backed Houthi targets in Sanaa and coastal areas of Houthi-controlled territory in Yemen, Dec. 30-31 .

On December 30 and 31, U.S. Navy ships and aircraft targeted a Houthi command and control facility as well as advanced conventional weapons (ACW) production and storage facilities, which included missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). These facilities have been used in Houthi operations, such as attacks on US Navy warships and merchant ships in the southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Additionally, US Navy and US Air Force aircraft destroyed a Houthi coastal radar site as well as seven cruise missiles and one-way attack drones over the Red Sea.

There were no injuries or damage to U.S. personnel or equipment in either incident.

The strikes are part of CENTCOM's efforts to degrade Iranian-backed Houthi efforts to threaten regional partners and military and merchant shipping in the region.
