Britain is bracing for bone-chilling cold weather just hours before 2025. The weather map will turn icy blue and a brutal -9C arctic blast will hit.

Weather maps from WX Charts show cold weather sweeping across the country, with temperatures dropping to -9C in the area between Portree and Fort William around 6am on Thursday (January 2).
